Oops, We goofed, or did We?
At the risk of being too candid, this article exposes some of
the early mistakes in setting up Life Path Numerology Center,
Inc. We were still in an early phase of our process and had not
known how to fully relate the numbers to a business. Oh, how far
we have come in our knowledge and understanding since then. Yet
these early choices still influence the business today.
The original founders of Life Path Numerology Center, Inc. were
Daniel R. Hardt, Timothy A. Phipps and a third partner who was
out of the business very soon after the incorporation and was
not a factor in the corporate development.
We have been blessed with board members from a variety of
backgrounds and experience. This article will not consider their
numbers as they relate to the business, but a big thanks to Donna
Winsted, Cynthia Coplen, Jacki Pizzurro and Judith Harris for
their backing.

The first item to notice is that the corporation has 16/7 soul
urge, which expresses karma in relationships. It also has a 19/1
personality, which brings karma in independence. All in all this
was an unnecessary double dose of karmic roadblocks. Since both
Tim and I have a 19/1 personality, the image of the corporation
was not in keeping with the warm relationships that we sought to
establish.
The 8 expression requires an office that shows traditional
elegance. During much of the life of this business, such decor
has not been possible or had not been established. The
discrepancy between the high tone of the numbers and the
utilitarian setting set up cross currents in the energies that
worked against the success of the operation.
Back then we had not yet developed the Integrative Vision
Number, so it did not enter into our planning. The 5 added to
the 3 life path brought in a lot of scattered energy that made
focus a challenge. The 5 brings in a lot of opportunity, but also
the willingness to take unwise risks.
We deliberately set the founding date to give us a 3 personal
year. By ending the 3 year very soon thereafter and entering a 4
year, we felt that that cycle would give us a year of hard work
to get through the startup glitches before the wild ride in the
5 year. This cycle is 3 years behind my personal cycle. In most
years these cycles are compatible. In a few years there is a
conflict. It would have been easier to coordinate if the
corporate cycle and my personal cycle were the same. I have
tended to ignore the corporate cycles, to the detriment of the
business, and have worked with my personal cycles in making
business decisions.
Tim's cycles are a year behind the corporate cycle. This year
he is in a 3 personal year and the corporation is in an 11/2
year. Adjacent numbers tend to be in conflict. He is an
excellent numerologist. He worked in the office for several
months, but quickly burned out. The main reason for
discontinuing was this incompatibility of energies. He then
started his own separate business, which is fulfilling to him.

Had we known the impact that the numbers would have on the
business and on our working relationship to it, we would have
chosen more wisely. Perhaps we should have hired a numerologist
who specialized in the business use of numerology. These
specialists are few and far between. The few who existed were
not well known. I like to think that we have filled that void.
If we were setting up the corporation today we would have chosen
differently. After completing almost a full cycle under these
numbers the business is too well established to disrupt
everything that has been done and to start over. We have learned
to work with the energies that were set up, and will likely
continue on this path.
Has it been an unnecessarily difficult path because of our
unwise choices? No doubt! Because of our own experience we can
whole-heartedly vouch for the benefits of setting up the proper
numbers at the start. If you take over a business or are already
established, as we are, understanding the numbers with which you
are dealing will let you know what decisions will make it work.
