Interpreting the Chart to a Client

For many years, numerologists have been engaged in a debate about how to interpret the numbers of a chart to a client. I have on occasion been told that my readings are too negative. It is my approach to warn a client of areas where pitfalls may lie. I prefer to give the caution along with ways to avoid the negative consequences or to point out the approach that will mitigate the effect. If challenges are lurking around the corner, it seems to me to be a disservice to gloss it over. Since life has a cyclical pattern with ebbs and flows, it is also desirable to explain how long a difficult period may last. Most people can withstand about anything if they know that it is only for a short time.

On the other side of the debate, Juno Jordan, a pioneer in bringing numerology to the United States, took the position that mentioning potential negatives plants the seed for the creation of that negative result. As a result, I find her writings to be sugary sweet. I respect her years of analysis and research, and often refer to her work in spite of our disagreements.

The quotation in the "bit of Philosophy" section above, discusses this same issue as related to prophecy. Two people can draw opposite conclusions from the same data.

A client going through a difficult situation wants to know why he or she is in that circumstance, how long will it last and what can be done to make it better. The client does not want to hear that everything is fine. The circumstance may well be a direct result of a faulty perspective, but it is not helpful to merely tell the client to change the viewpoint. Specific information is available within the numbers to let that client know the purpose of this trial, the value to be gained and what steps will be most helpful in turning the tide. If the numerologist dismisses the challenge with a rosy report, the client is going to disconnect from the reading and lose the potential benefit that numerology can provide.

You would probably sue an attorney for malpractice if he failed to disclose potential legal issues in your case, or failed to provide against possible future problems in a real estate transaction or in creating a will. You would not appreciate a doctor who did not warn you of a developing cancer or a physical condition that could lead to health problems.

A numerologist has the same professional duty to advise of potential problems so that the client can take curative steps.
